Insiders Tours of the Meadowcroft Rockshelter with Dr. James Adovasio (Reservations required)
Saturdays, June 27, Sept. 5, Oct. 10 at 10:00 a.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 p.m.
On these select dates throughout the 2015 season, visitors can enjoy exclusive Insider Tours with James M. Adovasio, Ph.D., who achieved international acclaim with his archeological excavation of the Rockshelter in 1973. Dr. Adovasio will present a lecture and lead a special tour of the site. 14 * Boy Scout WorkshopBoy Scout Workshop
Time: 9:00 am
The workshop will be administered by the museums Historical Director and qualified docents. Participants will satisfy most merit badge requirements with a merit badge counselor on site to sign Blue Cards.
Workshop specifics: Prerequisites #3a AND #3c – to be finished before the workshop and brought to workshop; $15 per person (one adult leader admitted free per troop); the 2nd Saturday of May and November, other dates available by appointment; recommended for ages 11-18; 9 am – 3 pm; class size limited to 10-20 participants; lunch (please bring a brown bagged lunch); registration is open to individual scouts or troops.
* Pins and Belt Loops are not provided. Certificates of Completion and a Whiskey Rebellion Flag Badge will be distributed.
* American Heritage Merit BadgeAmerican Heritage Merit Badge
Time: 9:00 am
The workshop will be administered by museum staff.
Participants will satisfy merit badge requirements
