The presentation, Foraging to Manufacturing: Tracing the Cultural Evolution of Western Pennsylvania presented by Andrew Donovan, Program Coordinator and Blacksmith at Meadowcroft, will compare and contrast the subsistence strategies of the Miller complex (Meadowcroft’s Paleo-Indian campers) through the growth and development of towns, roads, and general commerce of the 18th and 19th centuries. Food will be available for sale by members of St Michael\'s Church in Avella. There is no charge to attend the lecture. This will take place at Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village 401 Meadowcroft Rd. Avella, PA 15312

The National Road Festival comes back to Washington! Participating groups include the David Bradford House, The Washington County Historical Society, A&M Winery, Washington County History and Landmarks, and the Washington Business District Authority.
