The Jefferson Township Historical Society will be holding a plant sale featuring a wide variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables, and herbs.

Time: 9:00 am

The workshop will be administered by the museums Historical Director and qualified docents. Participants will satisfy most merit badge requirements with a merit badge counselor on site to sign Blue Cards. Workshop specifics: Prerequisites #3a AND #3c – to be finished before the workshop and brought to workshop; $15 per person (one adult leader admitted free per troop); the 2nd Saturday of May and November, other dates available by appointment; recommended for ages 11-18; 9 am – 3 pm; class size limited to 10-20 participants; lunch (please bring a brown bagged lunch); registration is open to individual scouts or troops. * Pins and Belt Loops are not provided. Certificates of Completion and a Whiskey Rebellion Flag Badge will be distributed.

As part of the Museum’s 50th anniversary celebration, the Museum is offering a Garden Party on Sunday May 17th. The event will include our garden expert answering questions, local artists painting in the gardens and light refreshments. More information to come on this special event.

The Mid Mon Valley Shipmates of Monongahela will present a program on the history and proper care and use of our American flag. The Shipmates have presented similar programs for more then 5,000 school students and to over 1,500 adults throughout SW PA.
